Balshastri Jambhekar

Balshastri Jambhekar started first newspaper in Marathi language called Darpan in the time of British rule India. Balshastri Jambhekar had knowledge and importance of print media. Darpan was the weapon for patriotism and social awareness. It was the beginning of the Marathi journalism. With the help of associates it was printed in both languages English and Marathi. And the cost was only 1 rupee.
